homebodies

A museum instalation durational performance reflecting on the post modern viewpoint of objects, and the value of a home as a comforting space.

Welcoming a collection of pre-loved domestic items into the public gallery space alongside an assemblage of projected image and sound, the work seeks to recontextualise the lives of the object through a posthuman lens. The durational performance component contemplates and deconstructs ideologies surrounding object interactivity, while also inviting the human body back into space, asking viewers and performers to sit and investigate the everyday anthropocentric experience.
